Helpful Information about Diaper Rash

Everyone who's changed a soiled diaper has seen diaper rash at least once but do you know what causes it and how to avoid it? Our bodies are marvels of engineering that operate constantly to remove waste products which include acidic substances and toxins from our bodies. The problem is, diapers trap those wastes and hold them in close contact with delicate skin and what isn't good inside the body isn't healthy for the outside either. Skin needs to breath and be dry; when exposed to too much moisture coupled with the constant friction of a diaper irritation occurs. Redness develops from increased blood flow to the area as the body's cells inflame the skin and respond to what it considers an attack. This causes pain and tenderness to the touch, and with continued aggravation even broken skin.

Baby-Zdravey eliminates diaper rash in several ways:

  • Natural soothing ingredients calm the sting right away
  • Forms a protective barrier that keeps wetness off the skin
  • Plant based moisturizers ease the friction between skin and diaper

Is it Diaper Rash?

It's important to note when you or your baby is experiencing a rash that in addition to true diaper rash there are other skin conditions that can start out looking like the same thing but in truth they have other causes.

True diaper rash is caused by one or a combination of these three things:

Too much contact with wetness – common if a wet diaper stays on a little longer than intended
Friction from frequently rubbing against the material of a diaper – common in active toddlers
Contact with waste that is acidic and harsh on the skin – common if a child's diet includes a lot of fruit or other acidic food
Our Baby-Zdravey heals true diaper rash caused by any of these above factors and will ease other skin irritations but these other types of rashes may require a different solution. Baby Zdravey heals diaper rash completely fast; if the rash you're treating doesn't disappear within a maximum of two days it could be one of these conditions masquerading as a diaper rash. You should seek medical treatment if any of the following occur.

Allergic rashes – A rash due to an allergy may appear in other areas of the body or may still be contained in the diaper area only, making it difficult to distinguish from diaper rash. If you find that application of BabyZdravey doesn't clear the rash completely within a day or two, your child may have developed an allergy. A rash that appears only around the anus could indicate an allergy to a food they consumed, while one that is only in the diaper area may be the result of an allergy to the diaper itself. This is especially possible when using cloth diapers that require washing. You may be able to pinpoint the allergen by eliminating foods from your child's diet one by one or trying a different detergent or type of diaper.

Eczema – Skin affected by eczema will be red like diaper rash but may be scaly and even develop blisters and oozing sores. Eczema is a life long skin condition and can be exacerbated by certain foods. If you notice these symptoms it's best to seek medical treatment because managing eczema can require medications like antibiotic creams or steroids.

Yeast infection -  Yeast infections look much like a diaper rash at first but the skin can develop tiny red dots that resemble pin pricks.  If the rash doesn't disappear, or gets worse within two days of using Baby-Zdravey it's possible that it's caused by yeast. To heal this rash you need anti fungal cream prescribed by your physician.

Impetigo – This is a contagious rash caused by bacterial infections from the strains Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes. The streptococcus strain is from the same bacterial family that causes strep throat and like eczema, affected skin can blister and ooze. Seek medical treatment for antibiotics to treat Impetigo.

Psoriasis – Psoriasis is a hereditary condition of the auto immune system that manifests at first as inflamed red skin like a diaper rash, however the inflammation is often followed by the formation of thick silvery scales. While Baby Zdravey can ease the inflammation it will continue to come back unless you seek treatment from a dermatologist for specialized cream.

Any of these skin conditions can be present in children or adults alike but because of babies tendency to develop rashes due to the extra sensitivity of their thin skin it can be difficult to tell them apart. It is always safe to apply Baby-Zdravey's all natural formula to any rash that develops; the soothing botanical blend will calm the skin for the time being and won't worsen rashes from other causes.

Be on the lookout for red irritated patches of skin on other parts of the body beside the diaper area as this can be your first indication that the rash is coming from something different. The key factor is that Baby-Zdravey will eradicate a true diaper rash in short order while a rash caused by the other above sources will linger. If any rash persists on the skin after 48 hours of continuous use of Baby-Zdravey please take the necessary steps to seek additional treatment.

Adult skin needs care too

Skin's basic needs don't change once we're out of diapers; it still needs air circulation and dislikes prolonged dampness and friction. The skin underneath joints where it's at its thinnest are the most at risk. Adult skin difficulties like chafing, heat rash, and chapping are essentially the same root cause as diaper rash and can be healed the same way. Plus you know with Baby-Zdravey that you're applying something so gentle it's safe for baby skin.

Left untreated skin irritations can progress to the skin tearing and bleeding, leaving you or your child in danger of contracting an infection. Take action at the first sign of redness with Baby-Zdravey and get instant relief combined with lasting healing power.
